DaWayne Sims

DaWayne Sims relocated to Delaware 18 years ago from New York City, both to grow his career and for the ability to raise his family in a more family-friendly environment. His corporate experience spans the communication industry and financial sector where he worked for Citi Group for 14 years. He became highly involved in local volunteer efforts including the Neighborhood Planning Council and serving as the President of the 4th District. Wishing to make an even larger impact on the community he is applying his skills to economic development initiatives that include working on business development, land use, real estate and legislative projects. “I wanted to live in a  community where I could make a positive impact - Wilmington is that place.”
